The City of Kamloops sought to replace the aging and inaccessible Albert McGowan Park playground with a more inclusive and engaging space.

Solutions
- Replaced the old playground with modern, inclusive play structures designed for all ages and abilities.
- Installed a fully accessible rubberized play surface, improving mobility, safety, and drainage.
- Added a ground-level merry-go-round, allowing children with mobility aids to participate.
- Constructed a large shade umbrella over the slide area to provide relief from heat and improve comfort for children waiting in the "GO!" line.
- Designed a play space with a mix of structured and independent play elements, increasing engagement and interaction.
- Used durable, low-maintenance materials to ensure long-term usability and minimal upkeep.
